WHO ARE THE BLUE KNIGHTS

The BLUE KNIGHTS started in April of 1974 when ED GALLANT a Police Officer with the Bangor, Maine PD, had an idea and along with seven or eight other "cops" worked with him to see the idea become a reality. The idea was to form a motorcycle club for the people in law enforcement. The name "BLUE KNIGHTS" was suggested by David Coleman, Chief of the Brewer, PD and John Bryant an artist for the Brewer, PD, drew the logo for the club. Other than the pride of being a "BLUE KNIGHT", it has many other rewards. It is an organization of law enforcement motorcycle riders whose dedication to helping people in need is surpassed by none. Its many chapter functions give members along with their families many lasting friendships and a bond that last forever between knights.

ABOUT OUR CHAPTER

Our chapter is located in the state capital Albany, New York. In the late summer of 1974, word had spread via teletype about the "Blue Knights" throughout the northeast. Our first organizational meeting was held in Albany in September of 1974 and we were later chartered in January of 1975. Our current President is Allan Ruth and we currently have over fifty members. Many of us in the chapter have been partners, neighbors or friends for a long time some as much as thirty one years but it's always a pleasure to welcome new recruits. If you are interested in becoming a member of New York Chapter VI you can contact our Vice President, Richard D. Hoke Sr. at rhoke@nycap.rr.com .

Americade 2006  Reservations

On behalf of Our Blue Knights organization, we would like to thank all individuals who booked rooms  with us and enjoyed the 2006 Americade

Our 2007 Team had worked very hard to keep us at the Georgian, again. The 2007 Package had to be adjusted in order to treat you fairly and still keep us at the Georgian. The new mgt. of the Georgian appeared sincere in not wanting to lose the Blue Knights in 2007.    We have had our Planning Meetings and everything is set to go for for the 25th Americade 2007.
